An article from the Daily Progress summarizes a survey published by the Weldon Cooper Center. The survey states the Central Virginia area has grown by 7% over the past 5 years. The metropolitan Charlottesville area has grown 7.5% over the past 5 years. The survey considers this the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle, Greene, Nelson, & Fluvanna Counties. Other Counties included in the Central Virginia area were Buckingham, Madison, and Louisa.

To no surprise, the counties with the most growth in the area were: Louisa (12.1%), Fluvanna (24.4%), and Greene (11.2%).
