Home prices in Charlottesville

I had a client email me asking to change their search to 4 bedrooms, with a price range under $200,000. Tough to do in Charlottesville. I looked in Charlottesville and Albemarle and and found 2 listings that match. I looked on the MLS to see what the median price for detached homes sold year to date in Albemarle and Charlottesville; $345,000, with a total of 177 detached homes sold. There are a number of other sites to look for homes in Charlottesville, the Charlottesville/ Albemarle MLS being one.

I ended up widening the search to Waynesboro, Greene, Fluvanna, Nelson, and Buckingham. We still only came up with 12 listings. I went over to the Augusta MLS and found 5 listings in Waynesboro. Time will tell if these folks end up here.
