Waynesboro Water System

The water system in Waynesboro is in rough shape according to a recent article in The News Leader. The clay pipes used in the 1930’s are not holding up and are in serious need of repair. The City Council has discussed a few options for repairing/ replacing, but will not have a decision until the fall or later. If you are planning on moving to Waynesboro, or using the City water system, you can almost be sure of tax increases, and water usage increases to pay for the repairs and replacements.
