Zion Crossroads to receive more water
The booming area of Zion Crossroads will be getting another source of water within the next couple of years. The Daily Progress has an article in today’s paper about this. They will be drawing water from Bowlers Mill to keep up with the demand.
Zion Crossroads has a number of new housing developments, with more to come. Liberty Homes from Richmond, and Ryan Homes, a national builder, have a number of homes being built in the Louisa and Zion Crossroads. Many people are buying in this area because of it’s access to I-64 & Rt. 250, both of which lead into Charlottesville and Richmond. The commute into Charlottesville from this area is about 20 minutes, and to Richmond about 40 minutes. Homes are less expensive, and the taxes are lower than Albemarle County. Some people prefer this area to Lake Monticello, a gated community south east of Charlottesville, and south west of Zion Crossroads.
